My NaNoWriMo Notion Template

If there's one thing I'm good at in life, it's overcomplicating the process of setting a goal and achieving it. That was, at least, until I discovered Notion. There's just something inexplicably magical about this program, y'all. It really, really works for me, and I think that's because:

  1. It's all digital. Which means I'm not spending three hours writing "January" in my best handwriting in a bullet journal — I'm actually setting goals in an organized, accessible fashion, and I'm getting them done.

  2. See above "organized and accessible" aspects of Notion. It's just easy. Once you get the hang of what it's capable of — which is almost anything, to be honest — then all the rest falls into place.

  3. It encourages a customized and semi-decorated appeal that's somehow both limitless and limited simultaneously. What I mean is that you're able to decorate your pages as desired, creating a really customized feel — but only to a degree, thus preventing you from going overboard and totally losing your shit.

Needless to say, it's become my favorite thing lately. Which is why I've decided to create my very own NaNoWriMo Notion Template for the steep writing-related goals I've set for myself this month — and this will be the true test of Notion's mystical powers, because literal years have passed since I've achieved a writing-related goal. You know how if somebody promises to meet up with you only to flake time and time again, and eventually you just stop believing anything they say? Well, that's how I feel about the promises I make myself as far as writing and publishing go, and it's time to change that.

If you're feeling similarly stuck and self-disciplined and determined, feel free to check out my NaNoWriMo Notion "Landing Page" Template. You can use it as a starting point, customize it as desired, and then put it to good use (and if you're new to Notion, this could help you ease into the swing of things).

Oh! And if you're not in the Writerverse Discord group yet, you're going to want to be! I've already signed up to host live write-ins every Friday throughout November — and others are volunteering to host their own, as well as word sprints daily. If you really want to crack down on your writing-related goals, then I urge you to join us for fun NaNoWriMo events, prizes(!), and community! 😎

For now, grab my template in the Patrons Lounge — or take a video tour of the page, which you can find below!
